What does ShipDeclare do?
ShipDeclare is being built to help Shopify merchants audit their catalog for missing customs data, recover and review product information, and prepare confirmed details for shipping workflows. You remain in control of every change.
What if a supplier part number is missing?
Start with your supplier’s product records, invoices or catalog. The planned workflow helps you review existing references and request missing information upstream. Do not invent a manufacturer’s or supplier’s identifier.
Does every product need a barcode?
A standardized identifier (S-PID), such as a GTIN, EAN or ISBN, is required when one exists. Its absence does not remove the separate need to check the merchant and manufacturer or supplier identifiers.
Read the EU checklistDoes this guarantee customs clearance?
No. Data preparation and shipping-path verification do not guarantee a customs decision. Requirements depend on the goods and their journey, and customs authorities make the final determination.
Does it calculate duties or print shipping labels?
No. Checkout duty calculation, label printing, invoice generation and IOSS filing are outside ShipDeclare’s scope. The focus is the product data that supports your shipping workflow.
When can I use it?
ShipDeclare is coming soon. It is in development, with no confirmed launch or Shopify approval date. The EU guide is available now, without signing up.
